Abstract :
As part of everyday interactions, humor is an integral element of working relationships with different behavioral consequences. However, it has not been adequately assessed in the workplace because the methods for measuring humor in the workplace have not yet been developed. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the factor structure, validity and reliability of the humorous questionnaire in the workplace. The statistical population of this study was the staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, 268 of whom were selected by simple random sampling method by estimating the Cochran's formula. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were used to evaluate the reliability of the questionnaire and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was used to determine its factor validity. Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the Humor Questionnaire were generally 0.833, and exploratory factor analysis using the principal component method identified two factors (connective humor and aggressive humor) for the Workplace Humor Questionnaire. Approved. Finally, the results of confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the structure of the questionnaire had an acceptable fit with the data and the confirmation of the goodness indicators confirmed its fit. Findings of factor analysis similar to research conducted in the main culture and reliability and validity coefficients were close to the results of previous research. Therefore, considering the desirable psychometric properties, this questionnaire is a good tool for determining humor in the workplace.
