Abstract :
The purpose of the present research was to assess e-learning readiness in information science students of Science and Research Branch of Islamic Azad University (IAU). One-sample t-test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, correlation analysis, and one-way ANOVA were used for data analysis in SPSS. The results showed that all the mean for all the variables was greater than the average 3 (4.09 for e-learning, 3.60 for technology access, 3.94 for technology skills, 3.61 for motivation, 3.63 for online media, and 3.68 for internet discussions. Also e-learning was strongly correlated with academic degree (0.68), weakly correlated with academic discipline (0.24), strongly correlated with computer skills (0.59), and moderately correlated with attitude (0.47). Significant differences were observed between the means of different e-learning dimensions. Technology skills and technology access had the lowest means. The findings indicate that e-learning readiness is higher than expected in the sample students and it is positively and strongly correlated with computer skills and student attitudes.
