Abstract :
Introduction and purpose: The main purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between attachment styles and social phobia with the mediating role of coping strategies in male adolescents in the academic year of 1401-1402. Method: The present study was descriptive. The statistical population of this research included 3982 male teenagers studying in the second year of high school in Kashan city, and 350 people were selected as a sample from this population by random sampling method. The research tools were the standard social phobia questionnaires of Kanwar and colleagues (2000), Andler and Parker's (1990) coping strategies, Collins and Reed's (1990) attachment styles. The reliability of all questionnaires using Cronbach's alpha method was 0.902 for social phobia, 0.862, 0.843, 0.740 for coping strategies and 0.822, 0.796 and 0.850 for attachment styles. Data analysis method, Pearson correlation method and structural equation model were used with SPSS24 and Smart PLS3 software. Findings: The findings showed that there is a relationship between attachment styles and social anxiety in adolescent boys. There is a relationship between coping strategies with social phobia in adolescent boys. There is a relationship between attachment styles and coping strategies in adolescent boys. Also, there is a relationship between attachment styles and social phobia with the mediating role of coping strategies in adolescent boys. Conclusion: Therefore, according to the results, it is suggested to hold parent training workshops and stress coping strategies to reduce the social anxiety of teenagers in schools.
