A comparative study of the components of social romanticism in the poems of Nima Yoshij and Abdul Moati al-Hjazi

Abstract :

Social romanticism is, in fact, a fusion between emotion and society. The romantic school, which was focused on feeling, individualism, praise of the past and nature, when it mixes with social issues, the challenges and issues that a person faces in the society, including freedom, emigration, seeking justice, homeland and ... it finds a special manifestation. Among the poets of Iran and Egypt, due to the common political and social situation in the 20th century, many poets were inclined towards social romanticism. Among these poets are Nimayoshij and Ahmad Abdul Moati al-Hajazi. In this article, a comparative study of social romanticism in the poems of these two poets is discussed. The type of library research and research method is analytical-descriptive. After examining the components of social romanticism in the poems of Nima and Ahmed Abdul-Maati, we come to the conclusion that social issues are one of the most important themes of Nima and Ahmed Abdul-Maati's poetry, and they tried to keep up with the poets of their time in this evolution. to share Examining the poetic themes of these two poets shows that prominent themes of social romanticism, such as anti-tyranny, seeking justice, emigration, patriotism and praise freedom, are of interest to Nima and Ahmed Abdul Moati. Among the differences between the two poets' approach to social romanticism, it can be mentioned that Al-Hjazi's poems are more objective due to his journalistic activity and greater awareness of social and political events.
