Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of human dignity on the workplace flourishing of physical education teachers with the roles of job embeddedness. This research is practical in terms of purpose, descriptive- correlational in terms of method, and cross-sectional in terms of time. The statistical population of the study was physical education teachers in the academic year 2021-2022, who were selected in the form of a cluster random sampling, and 370 people were selected in 5 groups from northern, southern, western, eastern, and central provinces. Data were collected using the questionnaires of human dignity of Froutani and Bahrani (2017), job embeddedness of Mitchell and Lee (2001) and Diener workplace flourishing (2010). The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts and their reliability was confirmed using cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. The findings of the research show that human dignity has a direct effect on workplace flourishing with a coefficient of 0.566 and job embeddedness with a coefficient of 0.731. Considering that positive effect of job embeddedness on workplace flourishing has been confirmed by 0.411; the mediating role of job embeddedness is statistically significant in the relationship between human dignity and workplace flourishing with coefficient of 0.300. In addition, job embeddedness moderates the effect of human dignity on flourishing at work by 0.197. The findings of this research can help education managers to improve their human resource plans and policies based on the promotion of human dignity and the areas of job embeddedness.
