Identify Factors Affecting the Safety of Sporting Events in Student Competitions

Abstract :
Security and safety at sporting events, especially in student competitions, are of utmost importance, as these events are known not only as a platform for developing athletic talents, but also as a place to promote the physical and mental health of students. The aim of this study was to identify the factors affecting the safety and security of sporting events in student competitions. The method of this research was qualitative and based on the data approach of the foundation using the Glaser approach. In order to collect information with 17 experts familiar with the field of sports event safety, school sports and sports management specialists, unstructured interviews were conducted in a purposeful manner until the saturation was reached, and the data were analyzed simultaneously using a set of open codings, Pivotal and selective. To measure the reliability of the interviews, the reliability of the interviews test was obtained, which was ual to 0.85. The results showed that specialized management of safety process (central category), 5 components of safety of gym facilities and spaces, physiological factors, psychological factors, personal and social health, and management and planning as factors affecting the safety and security of sporting events in Student competitions were identified. Based on the research results, it is suggested that the sub-categories extracted from this research with emphasis on accident prevention, promotion of safety culture, planning and safety management in student sports events to compile checklists for student competitions should be considered
