Abstract :

Background: Migraine is widespread in population. The attack of migraine decrease in the period of pregnancy in comparison with before pregnancy. In this investigation, we study the features of migraine before and during the pregnancy. Methods: This analytical-descriptive study was carried out on 200 pregnant   women with migraines who come to hospital two days before or seven days after childbirth, we check them with the standards of international group of headache before and during the pregnancy. We survey some characters in the first, the second, and the third month of pregnancy. These characters consist of age, occupation, education, the age of pregnancy, the number of pregnancy, the background of family about migraine, being of migraine during the Fluor. Also we characterize the variation of migraine about type, the frequency, the intensity and time of migraine in the first, the second, and the third month of pregnancy, and we study the variation of intensity, frequency and the period of headache in the first, the second, and the third month of pregnancy. Findings: : About the frequency of headaches,Frequency of less than once per week before pregnancy, first trimester pregnancy, second and third, respectively 36%, 45%, 68%, 78% Increased and Frequency of more than once per week  before pregnancy, first trimester pregnancy, second and third,  respectively 64%, 55%, 32%, 22% Has been reduced. Changes in headache intensity before and during pregnancy so that  the  percenet  Of mild headaches before pregnancy, first trimester pregnancy, second and third, respectively 14%, 16%, 21%, 34% Has been reduced . The same ratio for the average headache for the percentage of 53%, 38%, 43%, 31%, and in all months except third  trimester is reduced severe headaches from 14% to 8% at the end of the third trimester of pregnancy has been  reduced. Most reductions in headache severity of the last  third  months of pregnancy than before pregnancy. About time headaches, headaches 4 hours to 1 day before pregnancy to 38% from 36% in the third trimester of pregnancy has been reduced . of course  in first and second trimester pregnancy has been reduced. Headaches 1 to 2 days in third  months of pregnancy (48%) 5% increase compared to pre-pregnancy then decline 13% in third months have been the end of the third quarter headaches 1 to 2 days 3 to 39 % is reached. Headaches 2 to 3 days in the third trimester of pregnancy, 19% lower than the third trimester , an increase of 3% and 2% over the last third  months of pregnancy. Conclusion: Headache frequency, headache intensity and duration of headaches during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester of pregnancy reduced  compared to before pregnancy. And many pregnant women suffer from migraines before pregnancy, recover during pregnancy.
