Abstract :
In this study, a total number of 280 Cyprinus carpio weighing on average (22.30±1.21g) were randomly distributed in four treatment groups, including control and three experimental groups. In experimental groups, fish were kept under constant bath of ethanolic extract of Lawsonia inermis (henna) at following rate of 0.01%, 0.1% and 0.5% for 60 days. At the end of experiment, the highest values of WBC were recorded in the 0.01% and 0.1% C.B of ethanolic extract of henna respectively and the lowest value were recorded in the control group (P< 0.05). The highest value of RBC were recorded in the 0.5% C.B. of ethanolic extract of henna (P>0.05). The highest value of hematocrite were recorded in the control group and the highest values of hemoglobin in the control group and in the 0.01% C.B. of ethanolic extract of henna, respectively. The highest value of mean corpuscular hemoglobin were recorded in the 0.01% C.B. of ethanolic extract of henna and the lowest value of mean corpuscular hemoglobin in the 0.5% C.B. of ethanolic extract of henna. Mean corpuscular hemoglobin increased under ethanolic extract of henna. The lowest value of mean corpuscular volume were recorded in the 0.5% C.B. of ethanolic extract of henna and the highest value of mean corpuscular volume were recorded in the control group.
