Abstract :
A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of planting density and cycocel (2-chloroethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) CCC application and yield components of wheat (cultivar Cross Azadi) in Islamic Azad University of Arsanjan, in 2009-2010. The experimental design was RCBD. Treatments included planting density (100, 250, 400 and 550 plants in square meter) and chlormequat chloride concentrations: (0 and 2.5 l/ha-1). Results showed that chlormequat chloride applied caused to increase significantly grain yield, biological yield, spiklet/ear, 1000-grain weight, number of spikes m-2, number grain of spikes and harvest index compared with the control. Application of Chlormequat chloride decreased significantly plant height and infertile tillers per plant compared to the control. Increasing plant density increased spikes m-2 biological yield, Grain yield, plant height, die tillers per plant and harvest index than Density 550 plant in square meter with applied chlormequat chloride has the highest grain yield than other densities and density 100 plant in square meter has the lowest grain yield. Plant density of 550 plant m-2 and chlormequat chloride application is recommended for conditions similar to the present investigation.
