Abstract :
Siyāvash, a mythical figure in Persian mythology, is an important character in Shāhnāmeh, Ferdowsi’s epic. He is the symbol of purity and innocence in Persian culture. The present article, by taking into account the historical debates on Siyāvash, tries to illuminate his character in Persian literature.
