Abstract :
Conservatism is a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, especially family and religion, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change. It is a modern political philosophy and belongs to modern world and the new age. Although Kalileh va Dimneh and Marzbān Nāmeh, two famous Persian texts and fabulous collections of animal-based moral tales, belong to pre-modern age and stem from a totally different paradigm, conservative concepts can still be found in them. The aim of the present article is to show the presence of the above concepts in these texts.
