Abstract :
Today, there are many discussions between experts on the relationship between religion and psychology. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of parenting education based on mindfulness with an Islamic approach on managing children's behavioral problems and reducing parent-child conflicts of mothers with children with hyperactivity. The statistical population included mothers with children (6 to 10 years old) suffering from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in Tehran, 20 of whom were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups (10 people in each group) and interventions for both groups. Cognitive-behavioral therapy took place during 16 sessions. For the first group, mindfulness and parenting training based on awareness with an Islamic approach was given in 4 2-hour sessions once a week, and the second group only received children's therapy sessions. The findings of the current research indicated that the level of satisfaction with parenting in the first group, which was influenced by Islamic teachings, increased significantly and the level of parental stress decreased, and in the second group, the changes of the child under observation were visible, and in contrast to the level of stress And the parents' satisfaction with themselves had not changed much.
