Consideration of Digital Library and its Supporting role in courses of Distance Education

Abstract :

Nowadays, Distance Education with emphasis on electronic learning is one of the concerned subjects in information societies. Digital Library is one of the most significant means in system of Distance Education. So, the system of Distance Education, without application of systems and standards, which digital library is the most important of them, is inefficient. Based on the significance of systems and standards, in research and education, the present paper has been conducted. Thus, first of all, the features and benefits of it is explained and then the supporting role of digital library in preparing such a new education system is discussed briefly.
