Evaluating the amount of the usage of RoseNet digital library by the faculty members of Islamic Azad University-Shiraz Branch in order to meet their information needs

Abstract :

Purpose:The aim of this research is t evaluate the role of RoseNet digital, library to meet the information needs of the faculty members of IAU-ShirazBranch..Methodology: the evaluative survey method is assigned in this research. The statistical society arethe  full time faculty members of IAU-Shiraz Branch. The tool for information gathering is questionnaire. The data is analysed using descriptive and analytical statistics by Spss. Findings: The research showed that 78.2% of the faculty members ‘ aim  of searching information are to earn specialized and updated information, and more than 80% have used Rose Net in this respect. More than 52% of information needs of the members  are met by RoseNet. Conclusion: There are meaningful differentiate between the  amount of usage of RoseNet by the different educational departments, education level and the scientific rank of the faculty members.
