Bibliotherapy studies in various research fields in the world (scientometric analysis)

Abstract :
Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the scientific products of various research areas of bibliotherapy indexed in the Web of Science database.Methodology: The present study is a descriptive study with scientometric approach and content analysis method and has been done by using co-word analysis techniques. Data analysis was performed with Histcite, Gephi, BIBexcel and SPSS software data Mapping was performed with Vos viewer software.Results: In the field of bibliotherapy, the highest number of productions belongs to 2016 with 59 works. Among the most frequent keywords in this field, bibliotherapy, self-help, depression with 246, 100 and 93, respectively. The rank of United States is first. The most active authors in the field of bibliotherapy Cuijpers P and Scogin F with 21 works have the most productions and Scogin F, Clum GA and Cuijpers P have the most influence in this field. The H index of this field is 74. It ranks first among the institutions of the University of Alabama.The Journal of Behavior Research and Treatment and the Journal of Clinical Counseling and Psychology are in the first place.Coclusion: More than 75% of the products in this field are related to the fields of clinical psychology, psychology, multidisciplinary psychology, general medicine, and library and information science. The highest number of citations related to the field of bibliotherapy is to the two fields of clinical psychology and psychology.There is a significant difference between different domains and the number of productions and the number of citations.
