Audience-ology of book dedication-pages published in Iran and their role in the Islamic-Iranian society (Case study: Books of Shahid Avini Vayghan Public Library)

Abstract :
Purpose: The main purpose of the audience study is to survey book dedication-pages published in Iran.Method: It is a documentary and library study. Information was collected through phishing of 1,800 book titles.Results: About 10% of the books have a dedication-page. 78% of the presenters are men and 18% are women. More than 60% of dedications have an audience. On average, each dedication letter is presented to about 2 recipients. Authorial works, translation and text correction have the highest frequency of contributions, and 96.65% of contributions are written in books created by one person. 50.33% of the audience of the presentations are from the author's family and relatives. 9.26% of the audience of the offerings are the Imams (AS) that the frequency of Imam Zaman is higher than the rest. Professors had more audience than other groups and personalities. Out of 3143 audiences in the submissions, 102 audiences were non-persons.Conclusion: The books authors' appreciation of the parents and relatives shows the religious culture and the deep connection of the children with the parents in the Iranian culture and families. The national sense and patriotism of the authors in today's world is a valuable cultural asset against the invasion and soft and cultural war of foreigners and is very important. Paying attention to the discussion of environmental protection, natural resources and agricultural and livestock investments is a very valuable message and media for the preservation of these resources.
