Abstract :
Nowadays, rural guiding plan as the most important management tool, considered as the first organized and national comprehensive effort for spatial organization of villages in the country, which can play a fundamental role in the integrated development of rural areas. Now, after more than three decades of developing and implementing rural plans and pooling valuable experience in the field of space-related change, we need to know what the consequences of these actions have been. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of its role in rural development plan and the rural areas of the central part of Ize city. This is a descriptive - analytical study, and data were gathered through library and field study. The population of the study were residents of 7 villages in central part of Izeh city (3466 households) who have spent more than 10 years since their implementation of rural guiding plan that based on the Cochran formula, the sample size was estimated at 346 individuals. The study's tool was a questionnaire for residents of the villages involved in the plan and the validity of this study was confirmed by some experts. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.85) was used to determine the reliability of the main scale of the questionnaire. Also, SPSS software was applied for data analysis. The results of this study indicated that the means of the two dimensions (Physical and Social) had better performance than the economic and environmental dimensions.
