The parasite or protozoa by name Sarcocystis has been seen in so many domestic animals. This parasite has been reported from all over the world. Livestock contamination rates in this region are estimated to be about 70-100% in different parts of the world. Today, various species of Sarcocystis are known in humans and domestic animals. Infection with this parasite is very severe in some hosts, for example cattle, sheep and goats. Human beings can be host interfaces and can be the final hosts for this parasite. This parasite reduces appetite, make fever, weight loss, general weakness, anemia, reduced milk yield, make abortion, and sometimes cause death in hosts like cows, sheep, goats and pigs. It can not be diagnosed with clinical symptoms only. Rice like cysts are identifiable in the tissue of some animals. Under the microscope, cysts are in various sizes and contain bradyzoite, which are seen as basophilic, which are referred to as Miescher objects
