Abstract :
Abstract: The present article wants to study the soft power of China’s foreign policy towards Africa. Therefore, China’s development of its soft power and its sources are studied moving beyond Nye’s concept of soft power. One can come to the conclusion that China’s political values and soft power sources can be seen in various fields like culture (traditional Chinese culture, Confucianism); economy (the China’s model of development, extensive commercial and economic relationship); and politics (win-win policy and principle of equality and mutual benefit). Besides that, China’s aim in newly expanded relations with African countries who are interested in China’s development model, commercial relations and investment opportunities, access to their developing markets and Chinese leaders idea of expanding relations with South countries, is to avail itself the opportunity to spread its soft power and this paves the way for China’s political and economic influence in Africa and play a responsible and constructive role in international relations.
