Making use of concrete materials in cut-off walls, because of their low permeability and standing high Hydraulic Gradient caused by underground drainage, has attracted great amount of attention. Using ordinary concrete with high elasticity modulus, compared to other materials may accompany with problems including brittleness of cutoffs due to dynamic stresses. To solve this problem, adding a certain percentage of clay (Bentonite) to plastic concrete materials reduces the concrete hardness as well as its elasticity coefficient, resulting in better ductility. Adding Ebonite (clay and excavation mud) decreases the possibility of hydraulic failure and cracking. In this article components of the plastic concrete and parameters which affect in properties and manners of its mixing design is analyzed. Based on the results that have been obtained from experiments on plastic concrete samples which have various mixing plans, diagrams have been presented to obtain a mixing plan of ideal plastic concrete with different characteristics which result in determining a key relationship in order to estimate mixing plan of an appropriate plastic concrete of cutoffs to control leakage under the dam. While under current situation, not using these relationships to estimate mixing plan of an appropriate plastic concrete of cutoffs in order to control leakage under the dam is costly and time consuming with considerable amount of errors. The goal of this research is recognition of species of pollution and a rough estimate of rate of transmitted pollution through northern Iran rivers to Caspian sea. Sampling from 3stations up-river, mid-river, and down-river in Lavij rood, Gland rood, and Sabze rood in a 6 month period from 2008/5/22 to 2008/11/22 coincides with warm, low rain, cold and rainy seasons and parameters as temperature, electrical conduction, solvedturbidity, BOD,COD, with concentration of main cations and anions and microbiological parameters were measured. On the basis of piper diagram water of 3rivers in rainy and low rain seasons are from kind of magnesium bicarbonate. The analysis of measured parameters according to N.S.F program showed that the total quality index in first 3month in low rain seasons is lower than 50 and it means poor quality. In second 3month in rainy seasons this index is upper than 50 and it means the medium quality of water. The classification and determination of the quality of water considering central committee standard of India pollution control with results of N.S.F method is in harmony. In this paper by using numerical evaluation the effect of balancing drupes of water hammer on tunnels lining is considered. In case of not arrangment of these reservoirs, the tunnel lining will be damaged of cyclic powers of water hammer. In this research, function of balancing reservoir of water hammer on cover of tunnels to the barriers’ turbine is simulated by numerical methods and Plaxis 3D Tunnel, the RocSupport and the Roclab software. In numerical investigation, input spectrum of quasi-sine of water hammer is used. The results of this research show if there isn't use of balancing reservoir of water hammer, plastic radius of the tunnel sides is increased by 105%; and in case of usage of balancing reservoir of water hummer, the plastic radius is decreased only by 5%. Therefore, in water transmission tunnels under pressure for turbines, usage of balancing reservoir of water hammer are strongly recommended. Manuscript profile

Regarding the previous earthquake damages in offshore structures, as vital structures in the oil and gas industries, it is important that their seismic design will be performed with very high reliability. Accepting the Nonlinear Time History Analyses (NLTHA) as the most reliable seismic analysis method, in this paper an offshore platform of jacket type with the height of 304 feet and with a deck of 96 feet by 94 feet, and weighing 290 million pounds has been studied. At first, some Push-Over Analyses have been performed to recognize the more critical members of the jacket, based on the range of their plastic deformations. Then NLTHA have been performed by using the 3-components accelerograms of 100 earthquakes, covering a wide range of frequency and normalized to three Peak Ground Acceleration levels of 0.3g, 0.65g, and 1.0g. By using the results of NLTHA the damage and probability of critical members have been studied to assess the reliability of the jacket structure. Regarding that different structural members of the jacket have different effects on the stability of the platform, an “importance factor” has been considered for each critical member based on its location and orientation in the structure, and then the reliability of the whole structure has been obtained by combining the reliability of the critical members with its specific importance factors. Local scouring around the bridges piers has always been considered as a problem, especially in rivers. If we do not take the necessary actions to avoid the occurrence of this phenomenon or to reduce its influence, then the bridge's piers will be destroyed. Placing the bridge piers' foundation far from the earth's surface will turn out in a plan which is not economic at all. Experimental studies showed that the maximum scour depth occurring under a flood hydrograph can be much smaller than the calculated value using peak flow discharge. Thus, calculating the local scour depth around bridge piers under unsteady flow condition will be economic and will reduce the total cost. In this study, the evolution of local scour depth during the period of hydrograph has been simulated by SSIIM program. In order to verify the numerical results, the existing experimental data were used. The results show that the SSIIM program can simulate the scour depths with a good accuracy during the rising limb of hydrograph. Manuscript profile

Deficiency of atmospheric water vapor profile data is one of most important problems in the flood hazard researches for areas flooding such as Goorganrood basin, because of no radiosonde stations. With the aim of radiosonde data generation retrieved radiance MODIS data, after Geometric and radiometric corrections, on 21 and 8 august 2005 from MODIS-Level 1, In order to make spatial TPW maps of the basin, Near-IR-MODIS algorithm have been done using of absorption bands, including of 17,18 and19 bands to none absorption band, band 2, ratios. Finally with regarding to previous research a statistical relationship suggested for making of radiosonde water vapor data in Goorganrood basin using of MODIS data processing. Manuscript profile

In this paper the operation of multiple reservoirs by the utilization of analysis method of the system dynamics is considering and this analysis method is based on the feedback and object oriented events. The goal of this research is presentation of a new method by utilization of system dynamicity technique for simulation of the reservoir. This software is a product of Ventana Company and the environment of which is an object orientedThe aforesaid model has been applied for the evaluation of system operation of the dam, increase of operation goals from mono purpose to multi purpose, prediction of procedure of changes of present existing uses of the reservoir, evaluation of inflows required for the new defined needs and the different operation policies have been studied along with the increase of water operation. The case study was made on the reservoir dam of Golpayegan, which is one of the elements for water transfer system from basin of Dez to Ghomrood. The model has been compared and calibrated based on the data on the exiting situation of the Golpayegan Dam. In this calibration, the existing needs are predicted based on time series of agricultural uses of the reservoir. At present, this dam only provides for down stream agricultural needs and in the scenarios presented, the capability of the existing reservoir at the Golpayegan dam has been evaluated for regulation of requirements of drinking, industry, and environment defined in the plan for water transfer from Dez to Ghomrood.
