        1 - Excited-State Parameters of One Intramolecular Cyclization by TD-DFT, CIS and ZINDO Methods

        Using a time-dependent-density functional theory (TD-DFT), Configuration Interaction Singles (CIS) and Zerner’s Intermediate Neglect of Differential Overlap (ZINDO) methods, we have investigated the UV-Visible spectra of one new intramolecular cyclization at before and after intramolecular attack. All structures were optimized at the B3LYP/6-311++G** level while UV-Visible parameters were calculated via different basis sets; 6-31++G**, 6-31+G* and 6-31G*. In the all compounds, with the presence of donors substituted λmax values are greater, when acceptors substituted are smaller, in the TD-DFT and CIS methods. In the CIS and TD-DFT methods, after the cyclization oscillator strength is low i.e. possibility of transmission and transmission intensity is low, because between two aromatic rings, carbonyl groups does not exist. The 3D-surfaces diagrams showed changes of the λmax and energy gap compared with Hammett Para-effect number in the CIS and TD-DFT methods, clearly.         Glycyrrhizin(GL), is a triterpenoid saponin found in glychyrrhiza glabra (liquorice). This compound is a frequently used and very effective drug for the treatment of various malignancies. This study was designed to examine the interactions of glycyrrhizin with calf thymus DNA in aqueous solution at physiological conditions. FTIR spectroscopic method was used to determine the ligand binding modes, using constant DNA concentration (6.25mM) and various drug/DNA (phosphate) ratios of 1/240 to 1/1. UV-Vis spectroscopic method was used to determine the binding constants and the stability of glycyrrhizin-DNA and complexes in aqueous solution, using constant DNA concentration of 5.1×10-4 M and various glycyrrhizin concentrations of 5×10-6 - 1×10-4 M. Spectroscopic evidence showed that the interaction of glycyrrhizin with DNA occurred via G, A-T and PO2 group with binding constant of KGL-DNA = 5.7×103 M-1 and DNA remains in B-DNA conformation. تفاصيل المقالة

        La0.55Ca0.45A0.5Co0.5O3(A = Mg, Mn) nanoparticles prepared by citrate method were characterized using X-ray diffraction measurement, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The structural analysis using X’Pert package and Fullprof program is an evidence for the presence of the perovskite structure. The calculated value of crystallite size, particle size and band gap energy of La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3 is much less than La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3. The photocatalytic activity of the product was studied for degradation of an aqueous solution of methyl blue under solar condition. The effects of three operational parameters including irradiation time, pH, and the catalyst amount on the dye degradation were analyzed using optical absorption spectra. The degradation efficiency of MB solutions in the presence of 10 mg La0.55Ca0.45Mn0.5Co0.5O3 nanoparticles under visible light indicate to be higher than La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3 nanoparticles. 96 % degradation is obtained in an aqueous solution at pH = 2.33 and containing 30 mg La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3 catalyst after 30 minutes. تفاصيل المقالة

        In this paper, La0.55Ca0.45A0.5Co0.5O3(A=Mg, Mn) nanoparticles were synthesized by citratemethod. The structure was analyzed by Rietveld fitting of the XRD pattern by usingX’Pert package and Fullprof program, these shows that the samples have perovskite structure.The calculated values of crystallite size, particle size and band gap energy of La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3 are much less than La0.55Ca0.45Mg0.5Co0.5O3. The effects of three operational parametersincluding irradiation time, pH, and the catalyst amount on the photocatalytic activity ofthe product on the degradation of methyl blue (MB) under solar condition were studied.
