1 - Determination of ultra trace amount manganese (II) in water samples with the 1-(2-PyridylAzo)-2-Naphthol, (PAN) by the bromate ion in sulfuric acid with kinetic spectrophotometric method

The reaction is followed spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in the absorbance at 547.5 nm. Under the optimum conditions of 0.2 molL-1 sulfuric acid, 1.0 × 10-4 molL-1, 1 - (2 - PyridylAzo) - 2 - Naphthol, (PAN), 1mL of potassium bromate 0.11 mol L-1 at 35oC, calibration graph in the rang of 0.001-0.06 μg mL-1 manganese (II). Concentration was obtained with detection limit of 0.23 ng mL-1 by the fixed-time method of 4.5 min. The relative standard deviation for 0.05μg mL-1 manganese(II) is %90. No serious interference was identified. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by the determination of the manganese (II) in Water, Vegetables and blood samples. تفاصيل المقالة -

The newly synthesized catalyst was characterized UV- VIS, and VSM analysis. Additionally, the decomposition steps acatalyst were investigated by thermal analysis techniques (TGA/DSC). The synthesized acidic magnetic dicationic ion liquid has a magnetization of about 0.3 emu/g, which is less than FeCl emu.g- 1). Moreover, the catalytic activity of this acidic ionic liquid was successfully tested in the straight forward one-pot synthesis reaction between β-naphthol, aldehyde, and acetamide or Benzamide. The pure products were determined by analyzing their physical data (melting points, IR method has several advantages such as easy work yield, and high atom economy. Compared with other synthetic methods, this new method has the advantages such as milder reaction conditions, good to excellent yields, short reaction times, and environmentally benign procedure. 9 - An environmentally friendly approach to the synthesis of azo dyes based on 2-naphthol using kaolin-SO3H nanoparticles

The activity of this green catalyst was probed by the synthesis of aryl diazonium salts as the starting reactant and then, their diazo coupling with 2-naphthol to form azo dyes in a solvent-free medium at room temperature. The work-up of the reaction was easy, and the catalyst was removed from the products by simple filtration. The reaction proceeded in a short time, easy purification technique, high yields, and was environmentally friendly furthering approaches to green chemistry. The results indicated that this heterogeneous catalyst was an excellent and reusable system to synthesize of 14H-dibenzo[a.j]xanthene derivatives through a one-pot condensation of β-naphthol and arylaldehydes at 90 °C under solvent-free conditions. Due to the magnetic nature of the catalyst, it could be easily recovered by an external magnetic field and comfortable reused at least five times without loss of its catalytic activity. In this study, several types of aromatic aldehyde, containing electron-withdrawing groups as well as electron-donating groups, were rapidly converted to the corresponding naphthopyranopyrimidine derivatives in good to excellent yields. The present approach offers several advantages such as short reaction times, simple work-up, excellent yields, non-toxicity of the catalyst, and solvent-free conditions.To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the synthesis of naphthopyranopyrimidine derivatives using L-proline as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions.
