        In any region due to the lack of precipitation and with any type of weather, there is a possibility of a drought phenomenon. This phenomenon depends on factors such as high temperature, low relative humidity, low coefficient of snow melting, wind and lack of precipitation. Optimum exploitation of reservoirs by considering multiple important goals together and simultaneously is of great importance, and for this reason, it is necessary to manage the volume of the reservoir every month; Because the efficiency of the reservoir in flood control depends on the volume of the reservoir and its geometric characteristics and overflow. In this study, using MATLAB software and an optimal algorithm of Harris Hawks, the data of Amirkabir Karaj dam was written in order to find the optimal amount of withdrawal from the reservoir of the dam, and Harris Hawk algorithm was evaluated. The population-based algorithm performs the search process in two stages: exploration and exploitation. In Harris Hawk algorithm, there are parameters whose value change affects the performance of this algorithm. In this study, the minimum value of the objective function was investigated in Harris Hawk algorithm. By increasing the number of iterations, the value of the objective function improves, and the best value of the objective function was in iteration 64000 with a value of 25.8934, which achieved the best performance of the algorithm in this iteration تفاصيل المقالة
