تامین آب و فاضلاب و بطور کلی خدمات آب از نیازهای اساسی برای رفاه بشر است. خدمات آب شهری شامل تصفیه و توزیع آب، جمع آوری فاضلاب، تصفیه آن و برگشت به آبهای طبیعی است؛ همچنین هدایت آبهای سطحی از دیگر خدمات آب شهری است که نمیتوان آنرا به راحتی تحت کنترل قرار داد و نیازمند هدایت از جانب مشاغل متفاوت به ویژه مدیریت بحران و مدیریت آب میباشد. موضوعات فوق، از موضوعات اصلی مدیریت آب شهری در سطح جهان است، اما اهمیت آنها بسته به شرایط آب و هوایی، سیاسی، زیست محیطی، اقتصادی و منابع آبی کشور و منطقه متفاوت میباشد. شهر اهواز از طغیان رودخانه کارون و جاری شدن آب در خیابان پس از بارش باران در فصل زمستان و ابتدای فصل بهار آسیب زیادی متحمل شده که این آبگرفتگی معابر و خیابان ها منجر به ایجاد انواع اختلال در زندگی روزمره افراد و بروز آسیب های جدی به زیرساخت شهری می-گردد؛ در این راستا این پژوهش کاربردی با روش تحلیلی _توصیفی به ارزیابی میزان تاب آوری منطقه 7 شهرداری اهواز در برابر رواناب های سطحی پرداخته است. جامعه آماری این پژوهش ساکنین منطقه میباشند که با استفاده از فرمول کوکران 382 پرسشنامه بین افراد توزیع شد. به منظور تجزیه و تحلیل نتایج از آزمون T تک نمونهای در SPSS و نیز از روش معادلات ساختاری در محیط نرم افزار AMOS استفاده گردید. نتایج تحلیل آماری این پژوهش نشان میدهد تاب آوری منطقه 7 شهرداری اهواز در شاخص های کالبدی و زیرساختی، نهادی، زیست محیطی و اقتصادی در وضعیت نامطلوبی قرار دارد و تنها تاب آوری اجتماعی منطقه در وضعیت مطلوب میباشد.
