زمینه و هدف: مطالعات جدید نشان می دهند چاقی در بروز التهاب نقش موثری دارد، از طرفی التهاب خود می تواند عملکرد اندوتلیال عروق را تحت تاثیر قرار دهد. مقادیر بالای هموسیستئین می تواند منجر به ایجاد التهاب و آسیب اندوتلیوم عروقی گردد. همچنین نیتریک اکساید نیز به عنوان یکی از عوامل تاثیر گذار بر عملکرد اندوتلیال مورد توجه می باشد. مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین اثر 8هفته تمرینات TRX بر سطوح هموسیستئین ((Hcy و نیتریک اکساید ((NO در زنان چاق غیرفعال انجام گرفته است.مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه نیمه تجربی، 28 زن چاق بـا میـانگین سـنی: 82/0±34/44 سـال بطور تصادفی در دو گروه TRX (16نفر)و کنترل (16نفر) قرار گرفتند. برنامه گروه تجربی شامل تمرین TRX به مدت هشت هفته و سـه روز در هفتـه به مدت 60-50 دقیقه انجـام شد. مقادیر سرمی هموسیستئین ، نیتریک اکساید قبل و 48 ساعت بعد از آخرین جلسه تمرینات اندازه گیری شد. از آزمونهای تی مستقل و وابسته جهت بررسی اختلاف بین گروهها و تغییـرات درون گروهی استفاده شد.نتایج: پس از انجام هشت هفته تمرینات TRX نتایج مقایسه های درون گروهی و بین گروهی نشان داد میانگیـن شاخص هموسیستئین در گروه تمرین نسبت به گروه کنترل کاهش معنی داری داشت (p=0.01)، هر چند اثر تمرینات بر سطح نیتریک اکساید معنی داری نبود.نتیجه گیری: براساس یافته های پژوهش به نظر می رسد، انجام تمرینات TRX می تواند به عنوان یک شیوه تمرینی در کاهش التهاب و بهبود عملکرد اندوتلیال در زنان چاق موثر باشد.
