ملخص المقالة :

زمینه و هدف: پیشرفت علم و تکنولوژی، بهره وری و رقابت صنعتی را ارتقاء داده، همچنین به طور گسترده ای استاندار و کیفیت زندگی را بهبود بخشیده است اما همین عوامل خود منشأ ناپایداری کنونی بوده اند وخود مشکلات جدیدی به بار آورده اندکه برای حل آن ها، نیاز به تخصص های پیچیده و فناوری گران تراست. روش بررسی: این مقاله بر اساس پارادایم تحلیل محتوا و روش تجزیه و تحلیل سیستمی انجام شده است. با توجه به محدودیتهای مدل اقتصادی سنتی، رویکردهای جدید اقتصاد محیط زیست و نوآوری تحلیل شده و به چالشهای تحقق توسعةپایدار و مؤلفه های آن پرداخته شده است. یافته ها: آینده بشریت به این که آیا می تواند یک نظام اقتصادی و اجتماعی با توان عملیاتی ماده و انرژی که به محدودیت های اکولوژیکی احترام می گذارد را توسعه بدهد، بستگی دارد و این چالش نهایی برای اقتصاد یادگیرنده است. بر اساس نتایج تحلیلی به دست آمده، چارچوب انتخاب ابزارهای سیاستی، ویژگی های هر یک و زمان استفاده از این ابزارهای سیاستی جهت ترویج توسعة پایدار ارائه گردیده است. بحث و نتیجه گیری: این مطالعه نشان می دهد اگرچه به سرعت در حال رسیدن به آستانة رشد عملیاتی هستیم و در آن نقطه ظرفیتی برای برداشت خالص بیشتر از طبیعت وجود ندارد، اما هنوز با تمرکز بر اصول و ظرفیت های اقتصاد محیط زیست رشد امکان پذیر است.
