Introduction: A smart city is considered an integrated, innovative, and sustainable approach where Information and Communication Technology (ICT) serves as a powerful tool to enhance citizens' quality of life, economic growth, social justice, and sustainable environment. A smart city utilizes ICT to improve efficiency across all aspects of urban functioning (goods, public services, construction, transportation) and enhance the overall quality of life for its residents. Objective: The present research was conducted with the aim of exploring "Sustainable Governance of Smart Cities." The study investigated the most influential indicators on sustainable governance of smart cities to develop a comprehensive model. Research Method: This research had both practical objectives and utilized a qualitative-quantitative approach based on content analysis. Fifteen qualified experts and scholars knowledgeable about sustainable governance of smart cities were interviewed. Findings: The results indicated that smart ICT, ethics, external and internal collaboration, and organizational processes are the most critical indicators and influential variables in achieving sustainable governance in a smart city.
