Abstract— As with any system, reliability studies in power distribution networks require the accurate estimation of input parameters. In Iran's electricity distribution companies, the place to registered the power outages data is "event record" software that used in the distribution dispatching centers. The historical data recorded in this software can not be directly used in reliability analysis, and performing the data mining process is required for their use. This paper deals with the method of extracting data for reliability studies. It presents the data mining results of Gilan Power Distribution Company; and compares them with the available global references.
