ملخص المقالة :
This research studies one stratigraphic section of the Kazhdomi Formation with 172 m thickness, 75 km to the northeast of shiraz . This study shows that lithology of this section is interbedding of medium-bedded limestone and marly limestone. Index macrofacies include: wackstones and packestones. The major elements of microfacies are bioclast, extraclast and some peloids. Although the amount of these elements changes in different places of the section, bioclasts exist more than the other elements. This section is full of different types of macrofossils such as: Corals, Crinoids, Brachiopoda, Lamellibranchia, Gastropoda and Ammonite. The age of the Kazhdomi Formation in this stratigraphic section is according to its Foraminifers such as Mesorbitolina texana, Mesorbitolina cf. subconcava, Conicorbitolina cf. conica, Orbitolina duranddelgai, Palorbitolina lenticularis, Simpleorbitolina cf. manasi, Hedbergella cf. washitensis, Hedbergella sp., Rotalipora sp., Pseudolituonella sp., Numuculina sp, Praechysalidina sp. end of the Late Aptian to the Early Cenomanian.
