Abstract :
Wave energy power plants have attracted the attention of researchers and electricity distribution companies in recent years. In the sea and oceans, waves are produced by wind blowing on the water surface. The mechanical energy of the wind, which is created by the unequal absorption of infrared and visible light heat from the sun, is stored in the form of gravitational potential energy in seawater, which is returned by the seawater in the form of kinetic energy (waves) after a short time. This type of energy from sea waves is a type of renewable energy. Such resources do not require millions of years to be created and are endless. In this research, a wave energy power plant based on WEC is designed. The power plant designed in the Simulink environment has been simulated in MATLAB software. The efficiency of this power plant has been examined and studied in the simulation. In this power plant, a battery has also been considered and the system performance has been examined to produce active and reactive power for changes in sea waves.
