Abstract :
Technology transmission has engaged not only developing countries but also many Western research communities. Foreign direct investment is a commonly used method to transfer the technology. Since specific studies on factors affecting the transmission of technology through foreign direct investment has not been made in Nanotechnology, the purpose of this study is to identify the issues affecting the process of technology transmission through foreign investment. So, after reviewing the literature of technology transmission and FDI, 26 variables are identified influencing the transfer through FDI. By distributing a questionnaire containing these variables through all people engaged in foreign direct investment, Explanatory factor analysis and statistical techniques are used to assess the research questions based on the priority of related indices. Finally, 22 main factors are identified and ranked. Based on the issues identified, many strategies are proposed for technology transferring.
