One of the topics that is not paid attention to in climate approaches, especially in climate sustainable urban architecture and design, is considering the amount of sunlight depth in the building, but a lot of attention to solar energy has unfortunately caused that to some extent Other renewable energies, such as the quality of daylight in the residential space and its significant impact on the quality of the interior of the building, are passively neglected. He pointed out that one of the effective solutions in this field is the use of natural light in residential buildings, in order to determine a suitable direction for the optimal use of sunlight and the benefit of this influential climatic element in the spaces of residential buildings. In this research, an attempt has been made to investigate and simulate natural light conditions in residential buildings in Shiraz city using Honey Bee and Ladybug energy simulation software, and parameters such as brightness, light quality, and depth of daylight in the space. Residential and other influencing factors should be investigated and analyzed. It can be said that if the issues related to the quality of sunlight and its depth in the building are considered and the optimal orientation angle is adopted, both solar energy and daylight can be used, up to the amount of electricity and artificial lighting consumption. decrease in the building throughout the year. In other words, energy consumption can be optimized, and in the scale of residential buildings in the metropolis of Shiraz, it can lead to a significant reduction in fossil fuel consumption.
