Introduction:Marriage is one of the most important events in life and most of us welcome this important event to start a family. Marriage is a good thing both in tradition and culture. This study aims to present a causal model of a successful marriage based on attachment styles, personality traits mediated by differentiation.
Methods:The sample size of 500 couples from Khoy city couples was selected by available methods and considering the inclusion criteria. Research data were collected using the Questionnaire of Attachment Styles, Personality Traits, Differentiation, Family Function, and Marital Satisfaction and analyzed using structural equations.
Findings:Findings indicate that the most direct effect on successful marriage is differentiation by affectivity with 0.379 and the least effect is extraversion with -0.266. If a person has a high degree of differentiation or learns to improve it, even if he / she has inconsistent personality traits, he / she will accept and manage it. Is created. While maintaining individuality, couples achieve the desired "being" in a successful marriage.
