هدف این مقاله بررسی نقش واسطه ای عزت نفس در رابطه بین ویژگیهای شخصیتی و عملکرد شغلی دبیران شهر مرودشت می باشد. روش پژوهش از لحاظ روش، توصیفی و از نوع همبستگی می باشد. جامعه آماری تمامی دبیران شهر مرودشت می باشند که از بین آنها تعداد 335 نفر با استفاده از شیوه نمونه گیری خوشه ای انتخاب شدند . جهت جمع آوری اطلاعات از سه پرسشنامه ویژگی های شخصیتی نئو ، عزت نفس کوپراسمیت و عملکرد شغلی پاترسون استفاده گردید. تجزیه و تحلیل دادهها با استفاده از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون چندگانه سلسله مراتبی به شیوه بارون و کنی نشان داد که بین ویژگی شخصیتی روان رنجوری با عزت نفس و عملکرد شغلی رابطه معکوس معنادار و بین برون گرایی، اشتیاق به تجارب تازه ، توافق پذیری و وظیفه شناسی با عزت نفس و عملکرد شغلی رابطه مستقیم معنادار وجود دارد همچنین نتایج نشان داد که عزت نفس در رابطه بین ویژگی های شخصیتی و عملکرد شغلی دبیران نقش واسطه ای معنادار ایفا می کند.
The present study examined the mediating role of the self- esteem in relation between the personality and job performance among teachers of Marvdasht city. The present study was conducted on 300 teachers from Marvdasht, city. A cross-sectional and correlational survey design was used. McCrare & Costa’s Big five personality factor Scale, cooper smith’s self-esteem Inventory and paterrson’s job performance scale was used to assess the variables. The data obtained for the variables under study have been subjected to different statistical analysis such as Pearson correlation and multi variable regression to understand the impact and relationship between the variables. Pearson correlation of the personality sub-scale and self-esteem revealed that the extroversion, agreeable, the desire for new experiences, deontology ha d a positive and significant relation with self esteem and job performance. The neuroticism had a negative and significant relation with the self esteem and job performance. Self-esteem had a positive and significant relation with the job performance .The multi variable regression revealed that the self-esteem had a mediating role in relation between the personality and job performance
