ارتباط بهکارگیری راهبردهای یادگیری و سطح مهارت فراگیران زبان انگلیسی بهعنوان یک زبان خارجی

چکیده: هدف اصلی این تحقیق بررسی ارتباط بهکارگیری راهبردهای یادگیری در فرآیند یادگیری زبان انگلیسی و مهارت زبانی آنها در میان دانشجویان زبان انگلیسی میباشد. این گروه شامل 189 دانشجوی سال اول زبان انگلیسی بوده که به روش نمونهگیری تصادفی گروهی از میان 368 دانشجوی سال اول زبان انگلیسی دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی رودهن انتخاب شدهاند. در این تحقیق از پرسشنامه راهبردهای یادگیری زبان آکسفورد (SILL) و نسخه آزمون سنجش بسندگی زبان انگلیسی تافل ETS)) سال 2003 استفاده شده است. یافتههای این تحقیق نمایانگر وجود همبستگی میان بهکارگیری راهبردهای یادگیری و سطح مهارت زبان انگلیسی این دانشجویان میباشد. علاوه بر این، تفاوت قابل ملاحظهای بین دانشجویان دختر و پسر در بهکارگیری راهبردهای یادگیری و سطح مهارت آنها مشاهده نشده است.
Abstract This study mainly aims at investigating the relationship between learners’ use of learning strategies in the process of English language learning and their command of English among English students in university. Out of 368 freshmen English language students, 189 students studying English Language at Islamic Azad University - Roudehen Branch were selected applying cluster random sampling. Oxford's Strategy Inventory of Language Learning (SILL) and an ETS version of TOEFL examination (2003) were administered. The findings indicated that participants’ use of learning strategies in their study had correlation with their English proficiency level. Moreover, there is no significant difference between male and female students regarding the use of learning strategies in relation with their proficiency level.
