The aim of this research was to design a model for strategies to develop organizational capacity in sports knowledge-based companies. The research was qualitative, employing a thematic analysis approach. The statistical population consisted of experts in sports management (professors and researchers in the field of sports management) and managers of sports knowledge-based companies. A purposive sampling method was used, along with the snowball sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 20 participants. The research tool was an exploratory (semi-structured) interview. The validity of the tool was assessed and confirmed based on sample credibility, expert opinions, and inter-rater agreement. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis with Attride-Stirling’s (2001) method. MaxQDA Pro software was used to analyze the interviews, and iMindMap version 10 was used to map the thematic networks. The results of the comprehensive thematic analysis and network mapping, informed by expert opinions and a review of the theoretical foundations, indicated that the strategies for developing organizational capacity in sports knowledge-based companies include financial strategies, design, benchmarking, infrastructure, communications, and human resources (including staff and volunteers). These findings indicate that developing organizational capacity in sport-based knowledge enterprises requires a multidimensional approach, integrating both internal and external organizational elements. Furthermore, simultaneous attention to human, financial, and infrastructural factors can foster sustainability and innovative growth within the sport-based knowledge ecosystem.
