Catalyst free synthesis of oxaphospholes derivatives using multicomponent reactions of ninhydrin

Abstract :

The reaction of propiolate with triphenylphosphine (Ph3P) in the presence of ninhydrin led to oxaphosphole derivatives in good yields. The reaction of dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates with Ph3P in the presence of ninhydrin led to other derivatives of oxaphosphole in good to excellent yields without using any catalyst.
