Abstract :
Transparent concrete, or light-transmitting concrete, is one of the creative innovations in the construction and architecture industry that combines beauty and functionality, opening new horizons in building design. This technology allows architects and engineers to use concrete, a material known for its hardness and opacity, in lighting and aesthetic projects. This article explores the concepts, features, advantages, limitations, applications, and future of transparent concrete. Transparent concrete, or light-transmitting concrete, is a remarkable innovation in architecture and civil engineering that challenges the traditional notion of concrete and opens new frontiers in design and construction. Concrete, which is primarily known for its hardness, strength, and lack of transparency, has now been transformed into a material that can transmit light by incorporating optical fibers or transparent materials. This unique characteristic has made it possible to use concrete in projects that require a blend of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
