Abstract :
Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) is a new class of advanced cementitious composite characterized by high compressive and tensile strength, a dense microstructure, and excellent durability. Recent investigations have emphasized the importance of fiber reinforcement systems (including metal, polymer, mineral, and hybrid fibers) when improving the mechanical and thermal properties of UHPC. Critically, this fiber-material synergy delivers the enhanced performance necessary for resilient and sustainable infrastructure. This systematic review aims to summarize the most recent experimental and analytical results that analyze the effect of different fiber types, contents, and combinations on the behavior of UHPC at both ambient and high temperatures. The review employs a structured approach, with a comprehensive evaluation of recent publications. Key areas of focus include improvements in mechanical properties, resistance to spalling, durability under harsh environments, and sustainable mix designs. The goal is to provide readers with an updated understanding of recent advances in UHPC research, with a focus on its practical applications in various structural and environmental contexts.
