Introduction: probiotics are food supplements and pharmaceutical substances prepared from livingmicroorganisms that with enhancement of microbial equil اibrium of intestinal microbiota, insert useful effects onthe host (human/animal). Researches were indicated that nutrients could affect the brain and neurohormones viavagus nerve. So it is probable that probiotics can regulate some parts of brain activities and effect in betterfunction.Objective: The aim of this study was examination of TD2, the native Iranianprobiotic isolated fromTarkhinehdough product on the rat passive avoidance.Methods: In this study use as 96 male wistar rats with 200-250 grams weight range. For induced amnesia intraperitoneal pre training injection ethanol and for one mount administrated with1×10 9 cfu/ml of with or withoutprobiotic bacteria. The step-through passive avoidance used in the present study to examine long-term memoryin male Wistar rats.Results: Results indicate that post-training sub cortical (SC) administration of ethanol (1 mg/kg) induceamnesia. This amnesia was reversed In probiotic receiving groups.Conclusion: results of this study showed that TD2 isolated fromTarkhineh dough, enhance the on passiveavoidance learning of male Wistar rats that resive etanol. Our data demonstrate the positive effect of thisprobeotic on learning and memory.
