بررسی اثر عصاره هیدروالکلی گیاه علف چشمه (Nasturtium officinale) براسپرماتوژنز موش کوچک آزمایشگاهی

Introduction: Spermatogenesis is trend in which sperm is produced and it is very important for menproductivity. In this study the effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Nasturtium officinale on spermatogenesis isinvestigated.Methods: In this study 50 NMRI mice between 25 to 30 gram were divided into 5 groups of ten. The frist groupis control which received noting. Three experimental groups which received 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg ofhydroalcoholic extract intrapritoneally in 10 days. The last group is sham which received the solvent of extract.Data analyzed by One way ANOVA and tukey- Kramer post hoc test.Results: The results showed that the number of Spermatogonium, primary spermatocyte, spermatid, Sertoli andleydig with the increase of hydroalcoholic extract of Nasturtium officinale, increased significantly. FSH, LH, andtestosterone increased significantly with the concentration of Nasturtium officinale (p<0.05). Furthermore, rightand left testicle, diameter of epididymal tubes, and germinal epithelium thickness increased significantly with theconcentration of Nasturtium officinale extract (P<0.05).Conclusion: Totally Nasturtium officinale component by increasing sexual hormones can improvespermatogenesis. So it could be concluded that Nasturtium officinale usage have a positive effect onspermatogenesis.
