This study used a mixed-methods approach to investigate the impact of brainstorming-based collaboration on the speaking performance of 63 undergraduate male EFL learners at Naval Science and Technology University in Iran. The students were homogenized and divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction that incorporated brainstorming sessions, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. After 20 sessions of treatment, paired t-tests were performed on pretest and posttest scores. The study found that the experimental group's speaking skills were positively affected by the use of brainstorming techniques. Investigators conducted a semi-structured interview with 20 English language teachers to gather their opinions and attitudes about the use and effectiveness of brainstorming strategies. Qualitative analysis of the teachers' evaluations revealed that the use of brainstorming strategy enhances students' speaking skills proficiency and boosts instructors' positive attitudes toward language teaching and learning. The study suggests that English language teachers should incorporate brainstorming strategies into classroom activities and that textbooks could be developed with brainstorming principles. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the Qur’anic components of educational and upbringing etiquette and to prove its role in the growth and honour of the teacher themselves. In this article, researchers have employed a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the Quranic aspects of teaching and educational etiquettes, as well as their pivotal role in fostering growth and bestowing honor upon the teacher. Additionally, written documentation has been utilized as a research methodology in this study. The conduct of a teacher towards their students in the realm of education is undeniably one of the paramount factors that not only molds the teacher’s personality but also significantly influences the development of the learners’ personalities. In this present article, a novel approach is introduced, drawing upon a set of principles derived from Surah al-Kahf, which addresses the concept of honoring teachers and encompasses various etiquette considerations. These principles encompass: refraining from dismissing the students hastily, elucidating the challenges ahead, evaluating students to understand their needs, providing comprehensive explanations for actions to convey their underlying reasons and wisdom, showing respect for the students’ inherent values, recognizing their capacities and talents, emphasizing the significance and degrees of knowledge, fostering tolerance and patience, dispelling ambiguity from students’ minds, promoting monotheistic awareness, cautioning against the misuse of knowledge, instilling awareness, providing an ultimatum before resorting to punishment, embodying the attributes of mercy, and facilitating growth while considering timing. Constructivism is one of the theories derived from the post-modernist philosophical-social movement of the twentieth century. The principles of constructivism are based on awareness of learning, and its main message is that knowledge is not passed on to learners, but to learners themselves. This research has designed an educational model based on the theory of social constructivism. All theories of constructivism insist that the attainment of knowledge and understanding is a continuous process that is strongly influenced by the learner's prior knowledge. The social constructivist approach emphasizes the social context of learning and the fact that knowledge is constructed as a factor. Dealing with others provides opportunities for students to evaluate and correct their understanding as they are exposed to the thinking of others and play a role in creating shared perceptions. Thus, experiences in the social context provide an important mechanism for the development of students' thinking. To achieve the research goal, inductive content analysis method has been used. In this study, purposeful sampling method was used. The criteria for selecting an article to analyze qualitative content were well-known authors, published in a reputable journal, the relevance of the content of the article, and the novelty of the year the article was published. The number of final selection papers for qualitative content analysis by inductive method was 36 articles and content analysis unit. Based on the content analysis of the articles, three categories of teacher role, learning role and knowledge role were obtained. Manuscript profile

Reading comprehension is a fundamental language skill for many EFL learners. This study was conducted to compare Iranian male and female EFL learners' tripartite reading strategy use, Problem Solving Reading Strategies (PSRSs), Global Reading Strategies (GRSs), and Support Reading strategies (SRSs), and their relationship to their reading comprehension. To serve the purpose, 80 undergraduate EFL learners, 40 females and 40 males, majoring in English Language Teaching (ELT) and English Translation (ET) at Islamic Azad University-Tabriz were selected randomly. The research variables were measured based on the participants’ performance on the reading section of the PET test and the Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategy Inventory (MARSI) (Mokhtari & Reichard, 2002). The research data were analysed through Independent Samples T-test and a Standard Multiple Regression (MR) analysis. The results revealed significant differences between male and female participants in terms of their reading comprehension and perceived use of PSRSs. It was also exhibited that for male participants, only SRSs were the statistically significant predictor of males’ reading comprehension while for females it was the PSRSs that made significant contribution to explain reading comprehension. The gender variation in reading comprehension, reading strategies and the correlational pattern between these two variables exists. Such variations have to be addressed in the process of teaching and suggestions will be made as how teacher trainers, syllabus designers, and individual university students majoring in English Language Teaching (ELT) and English Translation (ET) can apply the findings to promote their outcome. The statistical population of the current research was considered to be all sixth grade students of Sari city boys' schools along with their teachers who are working in the academic year of 2014-2015. Due to the limited number of sixth grade teachers, 200 samples were selected by simple random sampling from the students along with the teachers of the same grade. The methods of information collection are in the form of library study and field research. To collect data, a media literacy questionnaire, a questionnaire created by a researcher of the modern communication technology of the Madyar system, and a learning questionnaire were used, and the reliability of the test through Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated as 0.83, 0.82 and 0.80 respectively. Two statistical methods including descriptive statistics (central and dispersion indices) and inferential statistics (t test) were used to analyze the data. The results of the research showed that the media literacy of the teacher and the modern communication technology of the Madyar system have an effect on the students' learning in the experimental science course of the sixth grade, and in line with other researches, it will indicate the positive role of the use of the new communication technology on the students' learning. The present research aims to inquire into fundamental development plan with respect to prerequisites of natural sciences in primary schools and it has been carried out in two phases. Qualitative- inductive analysis was used in the first phase and quantitative content analysis was employed in the second phase of this study. Given the importance of the subject and limitation of research population, sampling was not done for statistical population in fundamental development plan in the first phase and total statistical population was studied. The textbook of natural sciences and validity of this technique was confirmed by means of judgment of experts. The resultant data were analyzed using descriptive statistical indices and by means of Shannon’s entropy method. Among the studied dimensions in the second grade class, the highest rates of information weight and importance coefficient belong to item of placement of learner along with axis of learning activities i.e. 0.911 and 0.032. In third grade of primary school, variables of placement of learner on the axis of learning activities and familiarity and training thinking process skills, the importance coefficient rate and their information weight were ranked with 0.885, 0.829 and 0.029 and 0.029 respectively. The lowest information weight and importance coefficient belongs to paying attention to independent study, potential for working and use of digitalized sources and training CDs i.e. 0 (zero). Overall, paying attention to fundamental development plan in education is essentially important in production of content. Manuscript profile

In today’s rapidly evolving global economy, it is essential to equip young learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the workforce and contribute to economic development. Education is the vital driver of human capital and development in countries, and the success of any educational system depends heavily on its curriculum. This paper aims to study the pivotal role of the curriculum in shaping education and its contribution to economic development. In particular, this paper studies four components (objectives, content, teaching-learning methods, and evaluation) of secondary schools’ curricula in G7 countries (Italy, France, Japan, US, Canada, Germany, UK) and Iran to present a set of proposed concepts for the Iranian curriculum with a focus on economic features. George Brady's comparative strategy (description, interpretation, juxtaposition, comparison) was used in this qualitative research. The proposed concepts are arranged in three layers: the first includes improvement of A) scientific skills (mathematics and basic sciences), B) technical skills (general profession and technological literacy), and C) process skills (systemic thinking and problem-solving). The study of world history and geography as well as other countries’ languages and cultures is the second part. The third includes altruism for others, the environment, and the future. This study serves as an introduction to the skills and abilities needed by Iranian students to compete in the real world. The proposed curriculum model offers a clear summary of some of the essential competencies for tomorrow’s society and workplace. articledetails Manuscript profile
