One pot multicomponent reaction of Meldrum's acid for the synthesis of 1,4-oxathiepane

Abstract :

A series of substituted 1,4-oxathiepane derivatives were synthesized via one-pot multicomponent reactions of Meldrum’s acid, carbon disulfide and oxiranes in the presence of NFM under solvent-free and microwave irradiation conditions. Particularly valuable features of this method include high yields of products, broad substrate scope, short reaction time and straightforward procedure.
